The Murder Conspiracy

I couldn't' comprehend the bewilderment that surrounded the king's throne, and the envy and jealousy upon which the conspiracy to murder a fellow administrator was predicated. More so, the loose naivety of a king as old as 62 years to succumb and yield without a second thought to a perilous plot enshrouded and garnished with the beguilement of a decree which seemingly was presented perhaps to affirm and consolidate the sovereign authority of a king. What was the king thinking of?

Don't forget this is a conspiracy, and there is a victim who the king reckoned as an excellent, distinguished administrator. A little background about the potential victim will guide our thought line. His colleagues and contemporaries couldn't find any basis for charges against him for there was no corruption in him. Hence the plot was designed and drafted out of his strength- his undiluted obedience to the laws of his God.

I went beyond the stupidity and gullibility of the king, and retrospectively reconsidered the reasons behind every conspiracy past and recent. It shouldn't shock you that the canvas for most conspiracies is painted on the back of self interest. Yes, selfism. Selfism is an immemorial religion which still is today the religion of the end-time. " But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves..." Die-hard lovers of self. From assassinations to territorial dispute on the world's timeline; World War I to the child marriage provisions of the Nigerian constitution, self-seeking agendas outplayed their significant roles. Individuals are sold out to the responsibility of satisfying self alone at the expense of other people. Dr. Jack Hayford in his bible commentaries put it better, "People will be characterized by all kinds of self-centered and unnatural perversion. Some will maintain an outward pretense, speaking the vocabulary of christianity, but refusing the reality that Christian faith expresses."People with mutual self-interest having been fed with wrong or right perceptions and impressions of a person, people or a province, galvanize their energies to devise devious deeds- in conspiracy to murder identities, relationships, agendas and sovereignty. By accident or design, such persons connived with others.

Per adventure, they conspired  to murder your character, your personality, your marriage or vocation, and you are reading these texts, be grateful you still have life. How you stand in the midst of a storm is in the stillness your inner strength provides. There is a Victor Vantage View you should embrace. When adversity comes, or when men conspire to cast you down, you pull your weights from the word of God, the anchor to your soul. Let them conspire for the cast down. You just refire for the lifting up. They don't have the power to assassinate your identity because they didn't give you your identity in the first place. Remember, you are created in the very image of God. This, the conspirators do not know, but you know better. This identity will have to forgive them for they knew not what they have done to you. Forgiveness is of God; it frees you from the weight that comes with the pain.This is the inspiring identity you should exemplify and exude. It is working out for your good.

For the conspirators, you have to learn to number your days. There is still a room to reconcile your wicked ways. The mercies of God after it has been exhausted, judgement comes. But when repentance is not in your action plan, the wrath of God will visit you and your households. Isn't it wise to change from your wicked ways. You appear to be friendly but your heart brews evil. There is still time to change. God desires you repent; if not, YOU WILL EXPIRE before your time!
